OUR SERVICE PRINCIPLES
Inherent in our service delivery are the following:
CARING AND RESPECT We shall uphold the rights and respect the dignity of those we support. We will act on their behalf at all times.
COMMITMENT AND SUPPORT We shall provide personal supports in keeping with individuals’ strengths and needs, and according to established standards and resources. A mutually supportive and multi disciplinary staff allows to optimally recognize and meet physical, developmental, social, spiritual and emotional needs.
CHOICE AND EMPOWERMENT We shall recognize the rights of individuals and families/guardians to make informed decisions about their supports and to be active participants in service delivery. We shall maintain a leadership role in encouraging decision making, while sharing mutual responsibility with families for meeting individuals’ needs, achieving the highest quality supports and ensuring quality of life.
ACCOUNTABILITY AND INNOVATION We shall routinely evaluate the quality, appropriateness, effectiveness and availability of services. We will continue to develop and share new information, knowledge, skills and supports.
ADVOCACY AND LEADERSHIP We shall be an active member of, and advocate for the rights of those we support, to be a part of our community. We shall participate in collaborative systems planning geared to meeting mutually beneficial goals, and directed toward the coordination of services.
TEAMWORK AND EXCELLENCE We shall acknowledge and value each employee's individual skills, contributions, and potential, as our most important asset; and ensure continued staffing excellence through supporting their professional growth, training and development.
